Sleep nurse appointment
A sleep nurse appointment for insomnia is for patients who have been diagnosed with or suspect they have a sleep disorder (such as insomnia or a sleep-wake rhythm disorder) and need support with starting or continuing treatment. The sleep nurse advises you on sleep hygiene, lifestyle changes, thought patterns, and sleeping conditions, and helps you solve problems as they arise. This is usually done through therapy based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). If needed, sleep restriction therapy is also used. Our goal is to support you on your journey to better sleep.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I have appointments with the sleep nurse?
The frequency of follow-up appointments depends on your individual needs and how well the treatment is working. The sleep nurse will give you recommendations on this.
Can a sleep nurse also help with sleep disorders in children?
For sleep disorders in children, a consultation with a pediatrician or pediatric neurologist is often necessary. A sleep nurse can offer general advice on sleep hygiene, but specific sleep disorders in children require help from a specialist.
