Hand surgical operations
Hand surgical operations offer solutions for diseases and injuries of the bones, joints, tendons, and nerves of the hand and wrist. Specialized surgical intervention helps restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve the overall functionality of the hand, allowing a return to daily activities.
When to see a specialist

- Trigger finger (stenosing tenosynovitis)
- de Quervain’s tenosynovitis (tendon inflammation in the wrist)
- Ganglion cysts (fluid-filled cysts around joints or tendons)

- Chronic wrist pain

How to prepare for your appointment
- Bring your ID card or another identification document.
- Trim nails short, clean under nails, remove nail polish and artificial nails if necessary.
- Avoid Omega-3 or cod liver oil supplements for at least 2 months before surgery.
- Do not shave the surgical area at home – due to the risk of infection, this will be done at the clinic if necessary.
- The skin at the incision site must be healthy – scratches or wounds may postpone the surgery.
- Come to the surgery only when healthy; inform us if you fall ill before the surgery.
- Inform the doctor in advance about the use of blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, Marevan, fish oil capsules), as well as allergies and other regularly taken medications, so that the doctor can advise you on taking medications – blood-thinning medications should not be used for at least 5 days before coming to the surgery.
