Dermtest mole examination

Photography
Problematic moles (1-3 moles at a time) are photographed with a special magnifying camera.
Dermatologist’s assessment
Based on the images, the dermatologist assesses whether the mole shows signs of malignancy.
Recommendations for further action
The dermatologist will recommend the most appropriate next steps, which may be:
- No signs of malignancy, and no separate monitoring is needed.
- The mole needs to be re-examined after a certain period.
- Surgical removal of the mole is recommended for a more precise assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many moles can be examined at once?
With Dermtest, 1-3 moles can be examined at once.
What does it mean if a dermatologist recommends removing a mole?
This means that the mole needs to be examined more closely by a pathologist to rule out malignancy or confirm the diagnosis. This does not automatically mean cancer.
Is mole removal included in the price?
No, surgical removal of the mole and pathological examination are separately charged services.
How quickly do I get the results?
The examination is fast, and you usually receive the dermatologist’s assessment shortly after the photography.
Does Dermtest replace a dermatologist visit?
Dermtest is a primary assessment tool that helps the dermatologist decide on the need for further action. It does not replace a physical dermatologist consultation or surgical removal if necessary.
