How to prepare for your appointment
- Bring your ID or another identity document.
- Write down your main symptoms, when they started, and how long they have lasted.
- Prepare a list of all medications and supplements you are currently taking.
- Check that results from previous tests (e.g. ECG, blood tests) are accessible via the Terviseportaal, or bring them with you.
- Think of any questions you would like to ask the doctor.
- Avoid coffee, energy drinks, and smoking before the appointment, as these can affect heart rhythm and blood pressure.

Consultation
We will ask about your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle.
Physical examination
As needed, we will listen to your heart and lungs and measure your blood pressure and pulse.
Diagnostic investigations
Depending on your symptoms and examination findings, we may arrange further tests such as an ECG (electrocardiogram, which records the heart’s electrical activity), echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound), a stress test, blood pressure monitoring, Holter monitoring (24–48-hour ECG recording), or blood tests.
Treatment plan
Once a diagnosis is established, we will draw up an individual treatment plan to support your heart health, which may include medication, lifestyle changes, and further procedures where needed.
Follow-up
Where needed, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to assess how well the treatment is working.
