As a mental health nurse, I consider it important to see each person as a whole, taking into account their experiences, daily life, relationships, physical well-being, strengths and inner resources. Patients may attend an appointment to understand themselves better, maintain their mental well-being, receive support during a difficult stage of life, or obtain advice on supporting a loved one. I aim to create a safe and trusting environment where the person is heard, understood and supported, and can gain clarity and identify suitable next steps.
