Education and experience
Pulmonoloog ehk kopsuarst diagnoosib ja ravib hingamisteede haiguseid. Sageli on hingamisteede seisundi hindamiseks vajalik teha täiendavaid analüüse ja uuringuid (nt kopsuröntgen, spiromeetria, allergiauuringud). Tavalisemad kopsuarsti poole pöördumise põhjused on:
- astma diagnoosimine ja ravi (nt viliseva hingamise, limase köha, hingamisraskuse korral)
- kroonilise obstruktiivse kopsuhaiguse diagnoosimine ja ravi (nt pikaajalised suitsetajad, korduvad bronhiidid)
- ägedad hingamisteede põletikud (nt kopsupõletik)
