Preparing for Tests and Examinations Included in Your Employer’s Selected Package

Blood and urine tests provide an overview of your current health status.
- Before a blood test, we recommend that you do not eat, smoke, or chew gum for at least 2 hours.
- During this period, we recommend drinking plain still water.
- When providing a urine sample, at least 2 hours should have passed since your last urination.

Audiometry
Audiometry is used to assess hearing acuity and diagnose hearing impairments.
- Please avoid exposure to noisy environments for at least 12 hours before the examination.
Peak Flow Measurement
Peak flow measurement assesses the maximum speed of exhalation and helps evaluate lung function. Based on the results, the physician may recommend additional examinations (such as spirometry) or a consultation.
Spirometry
Spirometry is used to assess lung volume and airway function.
Please follow these instructions before the examination:
- Do not consume coffee, tea, or cola beverages for 2 hours before the examination.
- Do not smoke for 4 hours before the examination.
- Do not use short-acting bronchodilators for 6 hours before the examination.
- Do not use long-acting bronchodilators for 12 hours before the examination.
Physiotherapist Appointment (if included in your employer’s package)
The purpose of the physiotherapist appointment is to assess work-related musculoskeletal strain and any resulting symptoms.
During the appointment, you will receive recommendations for maintaining work ability, preventing musculoskeletal problems, and, if needed, performing suitable exercises.
This service is also available via video consultation.
- Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to participate in exercises if necessary.
Exercise Stress Test on a Cycle Ergometer or Treadmill (if included in your employer’s package)
An exercise stress test is a cardiovascular examination that helps assess exercise tolerance and detect health conditions that may not be visible during a resting ECG.
During the test, your heart’s electrical activity, blood pressure, and heart rate are monitored to identify possible circulatory disorders and evaluate how your heart responds to physical exertion.
- Depending on the clinic, the test is performed either on a cycle ergometer or a treadmill.
- Exercise stress testing is available for individuals weighing up to 140 kg.
- Avoid exercise and strenuous physical activity for 24 hours before the test.
- Wear comfortable sports clothing and suitable athletic footwear.
- If desired, bring an apple, yoghurt, or another light snack to consume before the test.
- Sign the consent form for the examination, available from the physician’s office or reception desk.
- Shower facilities are available after the test. Please bring your own towel and toiletries.
Please attend the exercise stress test only after you have fully recovered from any illness and your usual physical capacity has returned. For example, after a severe COVID-19 infection, at least 3 weeks should have passed since being declared recovered.
If it becomes apparent during the physician’s appointment that the employee has not fully recovered and the test cannot be performed, the employer will need to pay for a new appointment and exercise stress test.
Abdominal Ultrasound Examination (if included in your employer’s package)

- Drink 1–1.5 litres of still water 2–3 hours before the examination.
- Please do not empty your bladder before the examination.
