Optometrist

Introduction

An optometrist assesses vision and determines the need for vision correction. Patients visit an optometrist for vision testing, prescription glasses, or concerns related to their eyesight. During the appointment, visual acuity is assessed and, when necessary, additional examinations are performed to evaluate eye health. The optometrist also provides recommendations for vision correction and, if needed, refers patients for further examinations or specialist care.
