Liposuction
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat tissue from various areas of the body. It helps improve body contours and proportions by removing fat deposits that do not respond to diet or exercise. Liposuction is not intended for weight loss, but rather for body contouring. The results of the procedure are permanent, as the removed fat cells do not regenerate.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is done in liposuction?
In liposuction, unwanted fat is removed from problematic areas of the body using a thin cannula connected to a suction device. The procedure helps to contour the body.
What are the benefits of liposuction?
Liposuction provides permanent results because the removed fat cells do not regenerate. It helps to shape the body and emphasize its lines by removing fat deposits from, for example, the abdomen, hips, or thighs.
Is liposuction suitable for everyone?
Liposuction is best suited for younger people whose skin is still elastic and who are close to their ideal weight. It is not suitable for certain diseases (e.g., high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease). A plastic surgeon will assess suitability individually.
How long does recovery take?
Recovery time depends on the extent of the liposuction. After medium or large liposuction, one night is spent in the hospital; for smaller procedures, you can go home on the same day. Swelling is usually strongest after a week. Bruises disappear within a couple of weeks, and normal exercise can be resumed after a couple of weeks. Final results are visible after several months.
Are the results permanent?
The results of liposuction are permanent because the removed fat cells do not regenerate. However, the procedure does not prevent the decrease in skin elasticity with aging. If weight significantly increases after the procedure, the remaining fat cells may enlarge.
