In gynecology, I am most fascinated by the diversity of the work: on one hand, monitoring the different stages of a woman’s life, and on the other, urgent and responsible hospital work where decisions must be made quickly and accurately. I consider it important that the patient feels heard and safe—in medicine, evidence-based precision and human support can and must be combined. It is especially gratifying when I can help resolve a concern that has long affected the quality of life: painful or irregular menstruation, fertility issues, symptoms related to menopause. It is also touching to monitor the course of pregnancy and support a woman during one of the most important periods of her life.
