Neurologist

A neurologist is a physician specialised in diagnosing, preventing, and treating nervous system disorders. If necessary, the neurologist will refer you to additional examinations to clarify the source of your symptoms, the most common being Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), electroneuromyography (ENMG), electroencephalography (EEG), and various blood tests.

The most common reasons for referring to a neurologist are:

  • headaches with various reasons (tension headache, migraine);
  • stroke prevention and post-stroke consultation;
  • epilepsy or suspected epilepsy;
  • muscular dystrophies;
  • dizziness;
  • Parkinson’s disease or its suspicion;
