3D dental scan

Digital impression, exact prosthesis

The fit of a prosthesis or crown is largely dependent on the level of detail of the obtained dental model. With the traditional method, the teeth are sunk into an impression material and kept in it for about five minutes. The procedure is inconvenient and may not be completely accurate in certain cases. If necessary, Unimed provides the option of a digital impression – it is fast, convenient, and accurate. The digital impression ensures that the prosthesis and crowns fit perfectly.

Great results achieved conveniently

The 3D dental scan requires a referral from a physician who does not need to be employed by the Unimed clinics. Teeth need to be cleaned before the 3D dental scan. The scan is painless and doesn’t cause a gag reflex. The patient sits comfortably in the dentist’s chair and the dentist moves the special scanner over their teeth. After that, the physician will send the digital file of the impression to a dental technician who will use it to print out the exact full 3D model and prepare the perfect prosthesis or crown for the patient.
