Here you will find the warranty conditions that apply to our products, so that you can clearly understand when the dental laboratory is responsible for repairing or replacing the product and when the customer has to pay for the repair.
General Provisions:
The warranty is valid if the client returns the broken or defective product to the laboratory or provides the laboratory with a photo of the defective product during the warranty period. If the broken or defective product contains parts that can be reused, the product must be returned to the laboratory; otherwise, the laboratory will order new parts and invoice the client for them.
Validity of the Warranty Period:
- Ceramic and zirconia works – 2 years;
- PMMA crowns and acrylic dentures – 6 months;
- Acrylic bases, acrylic teeth, bent clasps – 6 months;
- Metal framework and its parts (CoCr) – 2 years;
- Flexible framework (excluding clasps) – 1 year;
- Acrylic parts of implant-supported full dentures – 1 year;
- Orthodontic metal clasps/parts (broken clasp, metal detached from solder) – 3 months;
- Splints and Essix retainers (crack or fracture) – 6 months.
Limitations When the Warranty Does Not Apply:
- The initial material (impression, bite, etc.) does not meet requirements and we have informed the client, but the work has continued at the client’s request;
- The denture has been adjusted at the client’s request below the minimum thickness allowed by the material manufacturer;
- The denture has been adjusted or repaired by another institution or person, including the patient themselves;
- The denture has been damaged due to external factors (during insertion, trauma, careless use, etc.) or there have been changes in the patient’s oral cavity or dental status;
- The denture is lost;
- The denture or orthodontic appliance fits correctly on the model on which it was made, but is unsuitable in the mouth;
- If the try-in with teeth has an incorrect bite or for any other reason the teeth need to be reset, but the client does not wish to make a new try-in with teeth;
- The warranty does not cover shape and color if the work has been cemented into the patient’s mouth;
- The client requests changes to the digital modeling file (the work is not milled/printed from the original file);
- The warranty does not apply to immediate or temporary dentures;
- The warranty does not apply to repairs, including relining;
- For the acrylic base of orthodontic appliances (in case of fracture or crack);
- For splints and Essix retainers, if the occlusal surface is bitten through or the splint is deformed;
- If bands are pressed into the impression and multiple imprints have formed or the bands have not been properly impressed;
- The client has not immediately informed the laboratory of the unsuitability of the denture or orthodontic appliance after the patient’s visit and gives the product to the patient for use;
- If, at the client’s request, not all necessary clinical-laboratory work steps have been performed in logical order during the fabrication of full or partial dentures.
Work Sequence for Full and Partial Dentures:
- Model
- Individual tray (for partial dentures only if necessary)
- Functional model
- Bite rim(s)
- Try-in with teeth. If the bite is incorrect, a new try-in with teeth must be made.
- Final completion of the work
Work Sequence for Removable Partial Dentures with Metal or Flexible Framework:
- Model
- Individual tray if necessary
- Functional model
- Bite rim(s)
- Framework try-in
- Try-in with teeth. If the bite is incorrect, a new try-in with teeth must be made.
- Final completion of the work
Recommendations:
- If extensive ceramic works in the upper and lower jaw are in contact with each other or most of the chewing force is applied to crowned anterior teeth, we recommend the patient use a protective splint;
- We recommend not ordering a separate individual tray and bite rim at the same time, as this may cause later problems with the bite height.
