Chemical peel
A chemical peel is a skin rejuvenating cosmetic procedure used to treat skin conditions such as acne, post-acne marks, rosacea, and prevent or reduce the signs of aging. During the procedure, we use pHformula products according to the skin type. The PHformula skin renewal system safely removes dead cells from the surface of the skin and promotes the renewal of the skin cells underneath. It makes the skin softer and smoother, evens out the skin tone, and reduces the redness and inflammation associated with problematic skin.
We recommend chemical peels for the following skin conditions:
- Acne, acne scars
- Wrinkles, loose skin
- Oily skin
- Milia
- Rosacea and couperose-prone skin
- Uneven, dull complexion
- Pigmentation
- Dry and sensitive skin
- Enlarged pores
For optimal results, we recommend a course of four peels at four-week intervals. During the procedure, you may feel a slight itching, tingling or burning sensation for a few minutes. This is a normal reaction. In general, the procedure is pleasant and well tolerated. After the procedure, the skin may begin to peel slightly within a week, but this will pass on its own.
Contraindications to a chemical peel include an active herpes simplex infection, a febrile illness, and treatment with Roaccutane (used to treat acne, makes the skin very sensitive). At least two weeks must have passed since beauty injections and laser treatments. After the procedure, avoid exposure to intense sunlight and use sunscreen daily for 30 days.
