Root canal therapy using a microscope

Root canal therapy is time-consuming, as the tooth’s interior must be thoroughly cleaned and the root canal system tightly filled. Teeth have a complex structure, so the dentist may perform root canal therapy using a microscope. If root canal therapy is performed with a microscope, mistakes made in the course of earlier treatment are also corrected: old fillings and other unnecessary materials are removed from the root canal and any openings that have formed in the root canal are closed.

Root canal therapy using a microscope – superior accuracy

The cutting-edge Leica and Carl Zeiss microscopes used in Unimed enable to provide accurate and quality treatment, as the high level of multiplication enables to see details invisible to the naked eye.

In turn, high-quality treatment ensures long-lasting results. Medical literature provides evidence that using a microscope greatly increases the efficiency of root canal therapy.
