Surgical removal of minor skin lesions with local anaesthesia
The appointments are intended for patients with general surgical pathologies, such as ventral hernias (inguinal, umbilical, incisional, or femoral hernia), gallstones, reflux, rectal disorders, varicose veins in lower legs, various benign skin lesions (sebaceous cysts, lipomas, birthmarks).
In Tallinn, the procedures are performed by Dr. Kaur Kersalu who completed his residency in orthopaedics and is furthering his education in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
In Tartu, the procedures are performed by general surgeon Dr. Andrei Uksov who works as a teaching physician in the field of general surgery in the Tartu University Hospital.
Minor surgeries

Surgical removal of benign skin growths such as birthmarks, sebaceous cysts or clogged oil glands, minor lipomas or benign fatty tumours, and other skin marks. Minor surgical procedures are performed using local anaesthesia. The incisions are sutured after the surgery and the sutures need to be removed.
Removal of skin tags
Removal of skin tags or benign soft skin growths, papillomas.
Ingrown toenail surgery
Ingrown toenails are removed under nerve block anaesthesia, removing the part of the nail that is causing infection along with the infected cuticle, if needed. The incisions are sutured after the surgery and the sutures need to be removed.
Treatment of minor scars and keloid scars
This treatment is done using injections.
