3D X-ray

A physician’s referral is required for the 3D X-ray. The physician does not have to be an employee of Meliva’s dental clinics.

The 3D X-ray helps to choose the right treatment

X-ray is often required in dental care for diagnosis and determining the exact treatment plan. If the physician does not get sufficient information from the 2D X-ray, the 3D X-ray may be used to facilitate the exact diagnosis and determine the correct treatment plan. In Meliva, we use the NewTom VGI evo 3-D X-ray machine which is one of the most modern devices in the field. 3D X-ray provides more information than 2D X-ray, as the 3D image reveals all minor bone structures.

Unique technology

We utilise the ultra-modern CBCT or 3D technology for 3D imaging. The 3D scanner circles the patient's head 360 degrees and takes 360 images that can be viewed from different angles on the computer screen. Nose and ear disorders can also be diagnosed alongside dental care. The device automatically determines the safest possible dose of radiation based on the patient’s weight.

3D X-ray in 5 minutes

For the X-ray, you need to book an appointment with our diagnostician by contacting the dental clinic’s reception. The 3D X-ray only takes 5–10 minutes.

Please note:

Remove glasses, earrings, and necklaces before the X-ray. X-ray is not recommended for pregnant women. Patients who are pregnant should consult with their physician before an X-ray.
