An optometrist deals with the checking and correction of visual acuity.
We advise patients between the ages of 12 and 65.
Examinations performed at an optometrist's appointment:
- Refractometry – objective determination of visual acuity
- Subjective determination of visual acuity
- Assessment of eye dryness (if indicated)
- Measurement of eye pressure (if indicated)
- Biomicroscopy of the anterior part of the eye (if indicated)
- Assessment of color vision (if necessary)
- Prescribing glasses and issuing a prescription (if necessary)
- Recommendations for treatment and further examinations
It is not possible to prescribe contact lenses at our optometrists' appointments.
