What vaccines do we offer, and who are they for?
This season, we offer InfluvacTetra and VaxigripTetra vaccines – both are quadrivalent vaccines containing four types of flu virus strain antigens. These are seasonal vaccines that should be updated annually. The vaccine provides protection for 6-8 months.
The vaccines are approved from 6 months of age. Children who have not previously been vaccinated against the flu should receive two doses one month apart.
Since the flu vaccine is an inactivated vaccine, other vaccines (e.g., the Covid-19 mRNA vaccine, tick-borne encephalitis vaccine, etc.) can be administered simultaneously. People in high-risk groups (those with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, children under 7, etc.) are advised to consult their family or treating physician regarding the combination of vaccines or contact Meliva's Digital Clinic for advice on vaccine suitability.
We have also received free flu vaccines for high-risk groups, including people in general and special care services, people over 60, pregnant women, children under 7, and minors in the flu risk group. More information can be found on the Health Insurance Fund's vaktsineeri.ee page.
